Poonch, May 21: Mother of former cabinet minister Nissar Ahmad Khan – in Kandi Gultha of Mendhar in Poonch district – has died of COVID-19 on Friday evening.
The 90-year-old patient had tested positive for the infection earlier this week, a family member told GNS adding that ‘We lost her this evening.’
Confirming the death of the elderly woman BMO Mendhar Dr Parvaiz Ahmad Khan told GNS that the patient was undergoing treatment, however she couldn’t be saved and died this evening.
Meanwhile senior PDP leader Advocate Nadeem Rafiq Hussein Khan has condoled the demise of the mother of former cabinet minister.
Pertinent to mention here that, Nissar Ahmad Khan has remained Agriculture Minister during National Conference government. (GNS)
