Tehsildar Zainpora recovered 35 kilograms of Fuki (poppy straw) after raiding a house at Melhura village of Shopian.
The raid was conducted by Tehsildar Zainpora, Fida Muhammad Bhat along with team of revenue officers after receiving information about storage of poppy straw in a residential house.
Tehsildar informed that Fuki was recovered from the house of Muhammad Abdullah Koka son of Abdul Ahad Koka, a resident of Melhura village.
He said that 35 kilograms of Fuki has been seized during the raid.
Later a case under relevant sections was lodged at police station Zainpora. It reads that an FIR No 63 under section 8/15 NDPS act 1985 stands lodged on the direction Tehsildar and further action is being initiated by the authorities.
Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding drug dealings in their neighbourhood.Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law.
