J&K reports 357 New Covid-19 Infections on Sunday, Tally 10513

25 Security Men, 2 Pregnant Women Among New Cases; 84 Patients Discharged

Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday reported 357 new covid-19 infections, taking the overall tally of the cases in J&K to 10513.

Officials said 62 of the news cases were reported from Jammu division and 295 from the Valley.

Giving district wise breakup of the cases, sources said Srinagar reported 97, Ganderbal 40, Baramulla 31, 29 each in Budgam and Bandipora, Kupwara 25, Samba 20, Jammu 15, 13 each in Kulgam and Shopian, Pulwama 11, seven each in Anantnag and Ramban, Kathua 8, Rajouri 6, Doda 4 and one each in Udhampur and Kishtwar.

The cases include two pregnant women, five from BB CANT Srinagar, five men from 45 Bn CRPF Sumbal Bandipora, five policemen, four from C.H BSF Srinagar, one from 46 Bn CRPF Anantnag, one from CRPF Magam Budgam and three from 51SSB UNDP Nowshera here.

Dr. G H Yatoo, Nodal Officer Coronavirus Control Measures at SKIMS Soura told GNS that out of 2017 samples which were processed at the viral diagnostic laboratory of the hospital today, 116 returned positive for the virus.

Professor Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura said that 32 are from Srinagar, 22 from Bandipora, 18 from Budgam, 15 from CRPF, nine from Kulgam, six each from Anantnag and Pulwama, three from Baramulla, two from Shopian besides one each from Ganderbal, Kupwara and Doda.

The 15 case from CRPF include Males (52, 33, 37, 32, 35) from 45 Bn Sumbal Bandipora, Male (46) from DPL Near PS Khirbhavani Ganderbal, four males (41, 33, 50, 46) from C.H BSF Srinagar, male (27) from 46 Bn Anantnag, Male (40) from CRPF Magam Budgam and three male (24, 48, 45) from 51SSB UNDP Nowshera.

Anantnag cases include male (35) from Yameash, female (22) from Anantnag, male (73) from Panzath, male (55) from Litter, male (30) from Damhall and female (60) from Janglat Mandi.

The 22 cases from Bandipora include two males (45, 55) from Aloosa, male (44) from Beudaun, male (22) from Reva, male (43) from Srikakulam, male (38) from Pune, male (29) from Satna, male (24) from Cuttack, male (29) from Sangli, male (26) from Ghazipur, male (54) from Bandipora, female (45) from Gamroo Bandipora, male (32) from Thirevallur, male (27) from Jammui, female (57) from Gurez, three males (05, 09, 25) and 03 female (09, 39, 35) from Gund Jahangeer and female (80) from Ward No 2 Bandipora .

Dr Riyaz Untoo, Principal SKIMS Bemina told GNS that out of 541 samples processed at the hospital’s lab, 28 tested positive for COVID-19 including 17 from Sin agar and 11 from Shopian the case from Srinagar include F-46 Ellahibagh, F-40 Lal Bazar, M-47 Natipora, M-42 Moominabad, M-30 kanihama, M-54 Safa Kadal, M-46 Anantnag, M-52 Habba Kadal, F-40 Habba Kadal, F-65 Rainawari,F-41 Rainawari, F- 8 Rainawari, M-42 Barbarshah, M -38 Nawakadal, M-48 Khanyar, M-51 and F-70 KP Bagh.
The Shopian cases include M-31 DPL Shopian, M-65 Gunderwash, M-54 and M-47 CRPF Gagren, F-19, M-12 and M-13 from Bohrihalan, F-20 Bandpawa/Hillow, M-32 and M-30 from police station Imamsahib and M-28 Sangran.
