Srinagar, November 01:(GNS) Encounter rages between militants and government forces in Rangreth area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district on Sunday.
Reports reaching GNS that a joint team of Srinagar Police, Anantnag Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Rangreth.
As the joint team of forces approached towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off an gunfight.
Top Hizbul Mujzahden commander Saifullah is believed to trapped in ongoing encounter at Rangreth Srinagar.
Sources told MVK that HM chief alongwith another militant has been trapped.
A senior police officer also confirmed to GNS about exchange of firing between militants and security forces.
