After abrogation of Article 370, 35A, GOI starts Distribution of erstwhile J&K’s assets
MHA orders division of Kashmir House New Delhi between J&K and Ladakh UT
Nearly seven months after re- organisation of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir, the Ministry of Home Affairs on Friday ordered division of Kashmir House, Chanakyapuri, New Delhi between J&K and Ladakh Union Territories .
The Ministry of Home Affairs today ordered that it has decided to go for interim apportionment of J&K House, Chanakyapuri till a high-level committee constituted by it for distribution of assets between the UTs submits its final report.
The MHA communique to J&K government, a copy of which is with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), reads that difference of opinion have emerged between the newly carved out UTs on interim recommendation submitted by the panel over apportionment the asset
The interim report submitted by the panel was shared by the MHA with both the UTs for their comments.
As per the arrangement, main entrance from Kautilya Marg of Jammu and Kashmir Bhawan , New Delhi is to be given to the Union Territory of Ladakh along with adjacent Block-A( with 10 rooms and 4 suites),old Block-B( with 14 rooms and 3 suites), 16 type-B staff quarters and 8 Type C-staff quarters.
