Baramulla, Nov 14 (KNO): Famous ski resort Gulmarg North Kashmir Baramulla District recived another fresh Snowfall while the plains witnessed intermittent rains as the minimum temperature settled below normal.
Also, Gurez valley in this North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Saturday morning received season’s first snowfall.
An official told news Agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that upper reaches of Gurez Valley including Chrownan arear and upper reaches of North Kashmir including Famous ski resort Gulmarg received snowfall today morning while the plains of Gurez also received light snowfall coupled with rains.
The 434-km Srinagar-Leh highway was closed for vehicular movement on Saturday due to fresh snowfall in Zojila.
According to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Saturday morning, the higher reaches of Kashmir including Drass received fresh snowfall.
An official said due to the fresh snowfall at Mani marg, Drass and Zojila, the authorities suspended the traffic movement on the highway as a precautionary measure.
As per local reports, a large number of vehicles are stranded in Sonamarg area after the road was thrown closed
