Srinagar, 19th December-2020: Jk Maraaz Kamraaz Academy in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art, Culture & Languages today held a day long literary function in the Seminar Hall of the Academy. The function was organized after about 18 months in view of the lock down enforced by government after the abrogation of Art 370 & 35A followed by yet another lockdown due to Covid-19. The function was presided over by Justice(Retd.) Bashir Ahmad Kirmani with Guest of Honour Justice (Retired) Muzaffar Hussain Attar. Advocate Riyaz Hussain, Adil Ashraf and Javed Iqbal also graced the podium. About 14 poets read their latest poems with Riyaz Ahmad Riyaz and Shafi Ahmad were with poetic prose. The audience got immersed in the depth of a few poems read out by the members of JK Maraaz Kamraaz Academy. The program was compared by Mohammad Amin Bhat and the General Secretary Shabeena Ara. The famous poet, writer, director and actor who is Chief Patron of JKMKA supervised the program.
Latter Justice®Bashir Kirmani reviewed the day long program and praised the literary abilities of young and old presenters. Mr Kirmani, who himself bears an ocean of knowledge in himself spoke about the poems read by youngsters in detail and encouraged them for their sense ofliterature in their works.
