Srinagar, Aug 11: A number of job aspirants from Kashmir division, appearing in J&K Service Selection Board examinations scheduled next week, are distressed over allotment’ of centres in Jammu despite opting for Kashmir in the choice in the examination form.
A delegation of the aspirants, appearing for Health Educator post, told GNS that at the time of submission of exam forms they had preferred Kashmir division for appearing in the exams. However, as they claim, on downloading of admit cards, the centres have been allotted from various locations in Jammu division.
Maintaining that it would be difficult to appear in the exams in Jammu division, the aspirants have requested the Board authorities to look into the matter as to why they despite having preferred Kashmir have been allotted centres in Jammu. “It is uncalled for allotment as many of us can’t manage even our stay there (Jammu)”, they said.
“We urge the authorities to look into the matter to fix the issue as to facilitate our appearance in the exams”, the aspirants appealed.
Meanwhile despite repeated attempts by GNS, officials concerned could not be contacted for comment on the issue.
