Srinagar 13 Jan-2021: Artist, social & cultural activist, Waheed Jeelani today announced his disassociation from politics. He said that his only motive of joining politics was to serve people through a stronger platform, in hopes of creating a political voice from Kashmiri cultural landscape that would serve the needs of the people of artist community, going through extreme turbulent times .
He added that he realized that an active creative professional artist or activist could contribute more independently to serve art culture and artists of the region and being a public representative will help him in pursue his case.
He further added that he signed up for this job in order to meet the needs of his community people which couldn’t happen in the past due to one or another reason.
“Waheed Jeelani wished everyone all the best in the future and hoped that they can help, change and serve people in a better way” he added
