In its continuous offensive against menace of drug abuse under the command of SSP Srinagar, Srinagar Police continues its war against drugs.
On 20.06.2020 at about 1610 hrs, Police party of Police Station Shaheed Gunj led by SHO Police Station Shaheed Gunj under the supervision of SDPO Shaheed Gunj apprehended three drug peddlers at Chotabazar Karan Nagar and recovered 260 grms of Charas from a vehicle Inova bearing regd. No. JK01T-9260 and apprehended 03 Drug Peddlers namely:
- Iliyas Mohd S/o Ayaz Ahmad Imam Hamdani R/o Nawakadl Srinagar
- Mohsin Khan S/o Ab Qayoom Khan.R/o Nawabazar Srinagar &
- Adil Ahmad Bhat (Driver) S/o Nazir Ahmad Bhat R/o Fateh Kadal Srinagar
In this connection Case FIR No.72/20 U/S 8/20, 29 NDPS stands registered in Police Station Shaheed Gunj and investigation taken up.
The Srinagar Police is committed to continue its offensive against the drug peddlers.
People of the area have hailed the prompt action of Police.
