Srinagar 1st November: District Police Srinagar traced a kidnapped girl and arrested the accused person involved in the crime within hours.
Police Station Nigeen recieved a written complaint from an individual (Name withheld) that his daughter (name with-held) has left from home on 29-10-2030 and is missing since then. The complainant also stated that it appears she has been kidnapped by someone.
On this information, a case FIR No. 167/2020 U/S 363 IPC was registered and investigation was set into motion. The investigating team led by SHO Nigeen, acted swiftly by utilizing human and technological resources succeeded in ascertaining the location of the accused and then arrested the accused and also recovered the abducted girl from his possession from Rajpora area of Pulwama District within hrs. The victim girl has been handed over to legal heirs after conducting all legal formalities.
The swift action of Police was hailed by the people who expressed their satisfaction the way Srinagar Police handled the case.
