Three shops damaged in Mendhar blaze
Poonch, Feb 02: At least three shops located near mini secretariat Mendhar in Poonch district were reduced to ashes in a fire incident in the intervening night of Tuesday-Wednesday.
Officials told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday at around 03:30 AM, fire broke out in a tea stall owned by Mumtaz Ahmed, located on Dak Bungalow road near mini secretariat Mendhar.
They said that the fire flames that erupted from the said shop later spread and engulfed two more shops.
“During fire, three LPG cylinders got exploded and all three shops that include one tea stall and two garment shops were reduced to ashes,” said officials.
They said that police, locals and fire and emergency services launched a fire fighting operation that continued for hours—(KNO)
