Kupwara, Oct 24: Two shops were gutted in an overnight blaze in Diver Lolab in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports reaching GNS said that a readymade and a Kiryana shop belonging to Waseem Ahmad Khan son of Mohammad Saleem, a resident of Khan Mohalla Diver were razed to rubble after a fire broke out at the site last night. Despite efforts by the locals, the shops could not be saved and it is primarily believed that material worth several lacs was destroyed in the incident.
The cause of fire said to be short circuit is however yet to be corroborated with any official version. (GNS)
