Anantnag, Dec 04 : Amid ongoing voting for the 3rd phase of DDC elections in Jammu and Kashmir, suspected gunmen attacked a candidate in southern region of Kashmir.
Sources informed that gunmen fired upon a DDC candidate Anesul ul Islam in south Kashmir’s Kokarnag and injured him critically.
However he was taken to nearby hospital for advanced treatment.
Sources added that Anesul is affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party.
Meanwhile, soon after the attack whole area has been cordoned to nab the attackers.
